Default Hogs in Piedmont region of NC???

a couple of days ago my brother shot two pigs (hogs im guessing) they were black had the thick stip of hair going down its back with about 2 or 3 inch tusk on them with out the tusk they would look like pot bellied pigs but they dont grow tusks do they (ive never seen one with tusks before).

so my question is does this region of nc have wild hogs

Pigs are hogs, and hogs are pigs, they're the same thing. And Can't help you on the other part.

Wouldn't be odd, they are fairly thick in the Smithfield area, showing up in other areas seemingly overnight, even a few down here in the Wilmington area.

I hunt in Anson county and we are covered up in hogs. I also hunt in Richmond county just East of Anson and there are no hogs.
