The place we are going to next month just had a guy take a 350+ hog with a knife and another took one about the same as well with a knife. I am thinking about doing it that way as well for I am able to take 2 hogs anyway I want. 1 with my bow or 7mmBR pistol and the other with a sticker.

My spears came and we are ready to go again. The ones i got are the SOG brand and they have a removeable handle which I have a heavy duty retractable painter pole I can screw on the end. If I want more distance between me and the hog I can pull it out with the push of a button. At my age I prefer not getting run over by a hog. lol
We had alot of snow and Ice. the ice has been a problem for the feet of the dogs and not much has been moving so it is a wait and see for now. There seems to be alot of interest in this sport and I hope all get to try this that want to. someone in your area is doing this. Just ask around, they generally will take someone new with them for the experiance too.
