Just wanted to share a few shots of some hogs I plan on dispatching as soon as the weather cooperates....here piggie piggie piggie.

That's a massive hog for sure! Looking forward to seeing the pics when/if you take him down. Good luck because you're gonna need it. Those big boys are crafty. They didn't get that big by being stupid.

Hogs like that are why we quit using small caliber rifles to hunt them. We normally shot them in the head but we can't get a head shot we shoot them behind the shoulder. The last big one we shot like that we counted at least 5 scars in his shield were he had been shot before and it healed up. We shot it with a 200 grain .35 and at 60 yards it still stopped short of going through the far side. We recovered the bullet under the skin on the far side. I have a .450 Marlin I use that is great for big hogs. It is bigger than I need but I don't have to worry about them running off and having to track them through heavy brush.
