Again, I'm amazed at how tough hogs are!!!
Had a chance yesterday to shoot 2 pigs about 40lbs each (eatin' size).
The group of 8 or 10 pigs got spooked for some reason, so I didn't have time for a head shot. Caught the 1st one perfectly broadside. Right behind the shoulders on the entrance and exit wound. Caught the 2nd one at the back of the ribs going forward through the opposite shoulder. Both were shot with a .30-06 and 165gr. CorLoct ammo. Exit holes were about half dollar sized. Both pigs still ran after the shot. Both about 30 yards before going down. I can't believe these little 40lb. suckers ran after being shot!!!

Yup!!!! They are tough. I heart-shot a little one awhile back and he ran a good 75 yds. before gong down. I couldn't get the moment of truth on video a I didn't have my tri-pod with me at the time, so the vid. is pretty sketchy...
