Default Wild Boar Hunting Question

I'm interested in Hunting Wild Boar/hog. Does anyone know of any places Pennsylvania, NY or NJ where I can hunt or is this more prevalent in the south? I'm not interested in going to one of those exotic farms, where you see one every 50ft. I'd rather hunt them in the wild. I'm told that feral hogs are breading like mad, running wild, destroying farms and forest alike. I'd like to do my part to help control the feral hog population and I love to eat pork!

I also heard that in many states there is an open season on them. Is that true? I'd like to plan a trip for the spring 2010.

Your help is appreciated.

As far as I know, they are not running in mass groups in Penn., NY ans NJ.........

I also like pork, especially in Spaghetti sauce!

For Hog control, you will have to come down to Texas or Florida.........

Florida has open season and no limit on Hogs, but on private property, Not on Management Areas
