Default Setting the hog trap

Our traps our cattle panels in a circle with a trap door. We have feeders in the traps and hogs come into them about every night. Yesterday evening we went to go set it and there were a few hogs in the trap eating but took off when they heard us. When we set the trap we only catch little pigs if we even catch pigs at all but we have a ton and huge hogs on our lease that are in the feeders everynight. THe problem I was thinking about was that when I set the trap I use a fairly thick yellow rope as a trip wire. I know they can see it and are they smart enough to know that something is wrong?

They are smarter than you think. Put that Guardian to work if you want a big boy.

We've tried the panels in a circle and each time the large hogs go over them when we approach. We had to weld panels into a completelyenclosed cage to catch the big ones.
