I have never hunted before, and recently was given a 50lb recurve bow. A buddy of mine is going to let me mirror him this deer season so I can learn the ropes. I will not be hunting. We have been scouting and we alway see hogs. My question is, if I get to shooting my bow well enough by spring, will it be enough to kill a hog with?
Thanks

Txjourneyman takes them with a bow about that size, I believe.
He has taken a couple of hogs with his recurve.
We are hoping to get his Long Bow bloody next week end on a deer.

I recently saw Tred Barta hunt wild hogs on TV with a home made bow and some hand made cedar arrows with carved stone broadheads. His set up had enough penetration to make a double lung shot on a 150lb hog. I think your setup should be fine.
