I've been working on a buddy for a while to go hog hunting with me, & he's finally softening a bit.
He wants something within 6 hours of Cincy/Northern KY, and only "a few" hundred $$$. We can bring a camper, so lavish lodgings aren't requisite.
Any ideas in KY/TN? I suppose we'd like to go as much "fair chase" as possible. Dogs would be preferred to hunting over bait. We'll want to bring as much meat back as possible.
Ideas? Experiences? Recommendations? Any outfits to stay the hell away from?
Thanks!

As for hunting fair chase hogs in tennessee with dogsit is just about a no go.Unless your doing it on private land.IF your wanting to do a public land hog hunt your not allowed to use dogs. There are several game preserves in east tn(fenced in),that does hog hunts.Your best bet is to go to cherokee national forest and do a public land hog hunt there, there is alog of hogs there.Stay away from big south fork, there are very few hogs there, don't let people lie to you,i've been there several times with not even seeing a hog.
