Yep, we actually have a season on 'em here so we can't really get away with the "Let's go snipe hunting" bit.... until you bring up the paper or burlap sack bit!

Did you ever see the episode of 'Cheers' when they took Frasier snipe hunting? Man, that had to be the funniest episode ever. Right next to the "squeaky shoes" one. LOL!

its my turn to chime in on this one....im from south georgia originally b4 b4 i enlisted and snipe hunting was w/ the burlap sack and a 12ga....and no the 12 ga wasnt w/ the newbie. but just yesterday i came across a guy hunting while i was bow hunting and asked hime what he was goin for and he he said snipe, i was like yeah whatever, no really....he showed my this ugly *** bird w/ a long beak and id be damned if it wasnt a snipe on grapevine lake in texas. he had a trained dog and all and he said he gets into forums here in texas w/ the name sniperjim...
