RE: Best bait I ever found
I noticed something the other day after spraying Nitrogen in a field to plant in Soybeans.
The Hogs went crazy rooting up the whole field.
I had to disc it so the tractor would not beat me to death while planting

This works for hogsand bear:
I/we do alot of American Shad fishing in the spring around here. They could possibly be the worst tasting fish I've ever eaten...toss up with Blue fish.
5 gal bucket/1/2 dz shad/1/2 bucket corn or popcorn/ 1gal water/ 2 liter orange flavor soda ...for hogs dig a hole an pour in,for bear hang it from a limb an shoot a hole in the bottom of the bucket
If you want some fun set up a trail cam to watch how the bears try to reach the bucket

Oh I can cook just fine...even cut the dark meat away from the rest of the fillet...just too oily for my taste. The barn cats won't eveneat them!
I do love tossing white bucktails for them though and release all that aren't hooked too deep.
