Default Javelina interest

Hello, I was wondering if someone could give me some leads on a really good public land hunt where me and my dad could go for javelina. Here in Wyoming we have alot of public land with antelope out the waazoo and if I could get some help with this, I could sure help a fella fulfill a pronghorn antelope hunt, or whatever. We hunt it if it breathes here, but we have no javelina and I sure would like tobag one. Thanks guys-hermit

I don't know how far you are willing to travel, but you have a lot of them in West Texas.

Are you wanting to hunt with gun? I am in north west Texas and we hunt them with dogs routinely. I could set you up if interested. Just send me a PM

Find the BLM land just south of Tucson, and you'll be happy. There are some decent camping areas just outside most of the hunting access roads, then you just drive in a ways, park, and start hunting.

Javalina are fun to hunt, good eatin, and a real pain if you get bitten. Sharp teeffis! I used to live there and we shot them all the time. Used to get them running down the street in the mobile home park. Javalina can be a real fun animal to hunt.]

Just make sure you research desert survival if you go. If you're not familiar with the desert, the most advanced woodsman can succumb easily. Especially in the winter. Hot during the day, freezing at night. Getting lost when the sun goes down, with summer type clothes on in now freezing temps can kill you.

Anyway, good luck, have fun, post pics. My new mantra for life.
