Default rotting citrus???

does this make good bait??? i have 50 # of corn souring and don't like the idea of having to pay 5 bucks a bag plus the cost of stuff to make it smell purty so could i use rotting citrus??? through my job at chic-fil-a i can get boxes of squeezed lemons from the lemonade making process and thought it might work for hog baiting and it would be free. so let me have it... what are your thoughts???
