New lease, no hogs
Well, I never thought i'd say it but I miss not having hogs to hunt. My buddy sold his ranch were we had pretty good White tail and hogs, plenty of them. Pretty short on Turkey and Dove but I was happy to hunt those hogs year round.
My new lease is now further out and has Black bucks, Turkey, Dove and White tail but no hogs, not enough water, I guess. I did see a nice Blackbuck, buck while out hunting Doves and I will be bagging a few of those shortly.
I also now must deal with livestock too, what a pain in the A*%.[:@]
I may have to move at the end of the season.

Well GT, here's deal bro, theres two types of property in Texas, Those that do have hogs, and those that are going to have hogs.....
Sooner or later the nasty creatures will show up...., and speaking of Blackbuck antilope, I harvested a gold medal class around six years ago.... they eat pretty good..

I agree but the heat and dry out in Menard co. might make them slow to arrive. As for the Blackbucks, I am excited about them. I've been scouting for a few months now and have seen small groups of both Bucks and Does. None of the Bucks I saw have been true trophy class but one of the other guys on this lease spotted a nice shooter while Dove hunting 2 weeks ago.

The heat isn't going to make a difference. They are down by the border, and they are thriving. They will migrate as they go foraging for food... Remembering they need water more than they need food.
