Arisaka's have "eliptical rifling " which looks worn when it's really not.......Harold

I am talking corrosive primer and salt damage to 6.5's. Some so bad you could not push a patch through. Shiney bores are highly overrated.

lookup mosin parts,theres a place i bought a used barrel that was excellent for 32.00,but ya need to hire godzilla to remove the old barrel.mine shoots 150gr tsxs like the house is burning.i like the idea of the finnish chamber as it opens up your reloading prospects but i have this fondness for the old 30-40.

i forgot,you can use alumabrite,its for cleaning mag wheels and such,i scrubed an old barrel with it and got the crap out.it has a mild acid and works quite well.

It has changed a lot over a short time..


My best group to date came from that bore.
