Need some help with rust

It will be pitted and seriously damaged I'm afraid.

Blast it with silicone oxide, dip it in acetone and shoot it with KG GunKote. It will have a nice matte finish and be more corrosion resistant than when new.

That guy was right , the wire wheel is where you start . After you get past the rust you can see what kind of surface you have to work with and take it from there .
