What choke should I use in my Mossberg 500 if I am shooting 3" 00 buck shells? Thanks

Pattern each one and you'll know.

I have a choice between imp. cyl., full, or xx full. I don't want to ruin my gun.

I take it your hunting something bigger than turkeys with 00 buck???

With my 20Ga Model 500, I tend to just stick with the Imp. Cyl. choke. For hog hunting it has always done the trick with 00, 000 buck and with rifled slugs too.

BTW.......... you won't hurt your gun firing any type of shot through any of those chokes. The one thing you don't want to do is fire slugs thru a tight full choke - that might get ugly.

for longer shots with 00 buck say out to 50 to 60 yards I like a full choke in my mossberg 500.

I had a hard time finding it too. Originally I found it at a local shop in Cocoa that is now out of business. We shot up my last boxes of the stuff last week...............now I'll have to search the internet for more

You "won't" ruin your shotgun useing any of the chokes with buckshot, BUT the imp. cyl. will probable work best.

You really DO need to pattern it to know for sure though.
