I did a little search, and found that Lazzeroni's do not use Savage actions on their Warbirds etc.... however, they did make some for Savage on Savage actions, in their 7.82 patriot chambering.....sorry for my misinterpretation. I never said I knew it all (like Bigcountry does) :D:D but thats why its good to have a tool like the internet!

Geez, If I were to have a custom rifle built, the last thing I would do is have it built on a bargain basement action like the Savage. What next, custom rifles built on a rem 710? :D

I'd pick the Sako 75 or Remington 700.

A Winchester or Ruger wouldn't be bad either so long as the piece of poop cast extractors are replaced with something made out of honest to goodness spring steel.

Briman, you know as long as Ive been on huntingnet, I have always trusted you opinions, in the reloading forum and elsewhere. I really thought you were one of the "go to" guys on this site!!!
