..Local shop has a vari-x2 3-9-40 used Leupold for 189..plus tax..
is this worth it..i had thoughts a new one but it apears as if it hasent been mounted.anyone know the garantee of a second hand Leupold..thanks for info.....

If the glass is clear that sounds like a deal to me.
I don't think Leupold guarantees second hand equiptment but I believe they will repair it for a very reasonable cost regardless of who owns it.

i think they are still guarentteed....i am not posative on that...i got the same scope for $150...used...not abused...in great shape....cleaned the dust off from sitting the the gun shop(nobody knows they sell used scopes) and its great...holds zero good and everything...
