Guys,
Got my newly aquired used SS 7mm-08 pistol barrel on my Encore and got out to the range this weekend. Shot 1 box of Winchester Silvertips through it at 100 yrds, but had 3 shells to misfire and not go off after up to 5 strikes. The primers are being hit.
I called Encore today thinking that the barrel may have a neck problem and the bullets were too far in and they told me to just sent the barrel back for inspection. But they also informed me that if I had a Hammer Extension on it (I do) that it could be throwing my timing off and this could happen with all my barrels.
Anybody else have this experience? First I had heard of it.

I was told the same thing by T/C! I had the same problem with the same barrel and caliber as you. You need a different spring put in your frame and that will solve the problem...

I posted this on another topic but don't think I got a reply, so I'll try it again. Back a few months ago, the topic of hammer extentions was brought up and someone said that using one will void the warranty because of binding tention on the action from the hammer not being pulled straight back. Did anyone ever confirm this with T/C?
