Well yeah I would be leary but maybe it was a bad apple. If i really thought that way I would never buy another Remington or use another Shilen barrel or their services and here I go building another custom on a remington action. I think all companies go up and down in regards to quality control , I know a lot of guys that use Douglas and are completely happy and that goes for the other barrel manufacturers as well. What is funny is I have never heard anyone say that is the best d**mn barrel i have ever used on a gun. Like I said before if its good enough for Melvin Forbes its good enough for me
