FS-LN 7 1/2" SBH SS-Excellent Cond.
Howdy All,
With regrets, I finally decided to post my SS 7 1/2" SBH for sale. The gun was purchased from the wife of an aquaintance who suffered from illness and passed away. Her husband had bought the gun new, and had shot one box of 20 rnds. through it prior to his death. I was a Firearms Inst. at the time and she called me to offer this, and several of his other guns for sale.
I really didn't need it, but I bought it anyway. I'm glad I did. This thing is a shooter...period. So much so, that I sold off my other SBH's and this one (only one) I kept. When I test fired the gun, it planted three rounds of magnum handloads inside of a 1 1/2" circle @ 100yds.
I poured a "Hi-Vis" front sight on it as it shot so well and I reserved it for open sight hunting only.
Unfortunately, I never hunted with it, and since then, my eyesight has failed to the point where I use scopes mostly.
Which comes to the point of why I'm offering it up for sale.....not being wealthy, I have to make room for a SBH Hunter. Any trades of such (plus cash) are welcome.
I could scope this one, but I don't have the heart to drill & tap, and I hate the clamp on's.
The gun has had the original 20 rnds. fired through it, plus another dozen handloads, and just recently a box of light (1000 fps.) cast loads. It has been a "closet queen" for the past several years and I decided to get it out and shoot it using the cast bullets.
Other than that, it's in excellent "LN" condition. It has the Pachmayer grips shown, plus the original wood ones.
I'll sell the gun for $350 including S&H, or I'll consider a possible deal on a Hunter model.
Thanks for your consideration,
Bob
