Just bought a Remington 700 BDL in 270 with leupold bases and rings on a remington synthetic stock. The guy threw in the original wood stock as well, got it all for $175.

I was looking for a slug gun a few years ago, there were rumors our hunting area was going from rifle to shotgun only. I had my eye on a Browning A-bolt shotgun. I had shot my brothers and liked it. A local Army-Navy store had three on closeout for $400 each. I snatched one up and quickly called my Dad and Uncle and they snapped the up the other two. Browning since has dicontinued these shotguns and they are worth $1200 each. Not bad.

I nailed a good deal today, wasnt a gun though. My buddy needed some cash to get a prescription filled, he asked me if i wanted to buy a 1000 rounds of australian manufactured 7.62 nato, jokingly I said I give ya 20 bucks, he said ok. feeling bad I gave him $50.

I found a Freedom Arms .454 Premier Grade handgun (new) in a shop marked down to $850. Someone had bought it and was in the process of the required wait and died - and they told me the laws required they sell the gun as used.

Well, i have two to pass on if i may? First i had bought a used 20 ga Itacha pump for $25. Two days later an old man came into my shop and he wanted a sho;tgun! (the ithaca was in good shape). So, i traded him the sho;tgun and 2 bxs of shells for a S&W Model 27-2,with a 8/3/8 barrel NIB> Year 1968. Next , traded a Ruger Single six and a Win Model 1890 pump 22LR for a like new in the case Win Model 101 with 3 barrels. 20ga,28 ga,410. Can think of more but these were just 2 of them off the top of my head. vangunsmith
