Your best gun deal ever ?
What was the best deal you ever got on a gun ?
One time I went in to a pawn shop and saw a Ruger 77/22 (Laminated stock, Heavy grey barrel) It was topped with a Leupold Vari-X II 4-12X40 and also had a Harris Bi-pod. The rifle, scope and bi-pod were in MINT condition. The price tag was $200. That's 1/2 the cost of the scope alone. Needless to say I bought it, and it shoots like a wet dream !

My best deal was a Smith Corona 03-A3 in near excellent condition for 75 dollars at a turners outdoors in southern california back in 1991. now these darn rifles will cost you atleast 500 dollars and thats for one that looks like it sat at the bottom of the ocean for 50 years ofcourse im exaggerating but to find one in near excellent condition like mine you will spend atleast 1200 bucks. Ive been offered 2200 dollars sofar for mine.

I bought an air-cooled 5hp Sears outboard at a garage sale for $20. It ran, but needed a little carb work.
A guy I knew wanted it, and traded me EVEN UP a left-handed (which I am) Rem 760 Gamemaster in .270 with a Unertl scope on it. The scope is worth about $250 and the gun a little more.
We were both happy. He had never shot the gun, and I had never run the motor. They were both used after the trade.

Several years ago, I picked up a Browning Continental set in terrific shape, for $1,800. The Continental set is a Browning Superlight 20 Guage over/under, with an additional set of over/under 30-06 barrels. I've seen the same set for $4,500 - $6,500.

I traded a "1911" Balister Molina (argentinian knockoff) for a slightly used Springfield Garand high grade and a spotless SxS Wards Hercules 16ga (Boy did I see this guy coming!!!)....The Balister Molina is quoted at $120-30 in like new condition, the Garand was worth about $600, and the Ward was worth about $200, so basically, I got PAID nearly $700 to TAKE two guns.
I don't think it gets much better than that. I didn't sleep well the first night[:'(][&:][&o][&o], but I went out and shot the Garand the next day, slept like a baby after that!!!
