Default Bushnell Elite 3200 Warranty?

Has anyone used the 1 year no questions asked warranty from Bushnell on an Elite series scope?

I called and asked Bushnell about it. They told me to submit a letter along with the scope when it is returned. I asked them if its "No questions asked" why did I have to submit a letter. Her reply was " That's a good question." I ended up returning it to Bass Pro for a refund instead. The 3200 I got was a real dud. The craftsmanship and quality wes great but the optics in mine were horrible.

Well aint that a load of crap. The elite rifle scopes use to carry their bullet proof lifetime warranty. Now they only have a 1 year no questions asked warranty?????

I sure have been getting disappointed with rifle scope manufacturere this year.

To the best of my knowledge they still carry a limited lifetime warranty. The Bullet Proof warranty is a seperate deal that says if for any reason you are not satisfyed with the scope you can return it to Bushnell within 1 year for a refund of the purschase price.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

That's the way I understand the Bullet proof "no questions asked" warranty for the first year, then after that it is limited lifetime. I just wondered if anyone had actually used it before and if they had, what their experiences were. My only complaint with the scope is I just can not get used to the reticle. It has the 3-2-1 lowlight reticle and I thought at first I would like it. But after my first outing at the range with it I just do not like it. It covers too much of the target. I don't know what to do....maybe I need to shoot it more and give it a chance. It may work well on big game. The scope is very clear, bright and the adjustments seem to be precise. It is my own fault I know....but the price was good and I thought I would give something other than a Leupold a try!

Hmmmm....I took the bullet proof no questions asked warranty for the first year as a sort of "test drive." According to page 152 in the Cabelas Shooting Catalog, "An Elite Bullet Proof Warranty assures you that Bushnell will repair or replace, at no cost, any Elite riflescope that becomes defective during normal use. No receipt is required and there is no time limit." I may have phrased my original question wrong....maybe during the first year it is a "No Questions Asked Warranty"....which apparently they do ask questions!

No Questions Asked Warranty
I understood that this was during the first year a owner could request a full refund if not 100% satisfied with their purchase through bushnell. Seeing most dealers will not return a mounted scope it is a back up gaurantee, i guess. Post this the warranty is as it always has been lifetime/transferrable.

IME bushnell always requested a letter to accompany the returned item for regular warranty, so it may be the CS agent was just following the normal procedure but who knows!

Email or call to Bushnell would probably be your best bet. The info I heard was a dealer and given this info it may have just been their interp of the new clause bushnell added to the elite.

Spoke with customer service at Bushnell today and explained to them I was not really happy with my scope. I made it clear that nothing was mechanically wrong with it, just I did not care for the 3-2-1 reticle. He said I could send it back during the first year for any reason. He said they would refund my money or send me a new scope with a different reticle and all I had to do was tell them in writing what I want.
