Talk about excess! I was shooting a Browning A-Bolt 7 Mag today that had a BOSS (braked) system and a Limbsaver recoil pad on it. Kicked about like a .270 or less. Strapped on the Past Mag-Plus recoil pad and it was like shooting a .243. If you have shoulder problems and want to shoot the big stuff, invest a little and put the fun back into shooting.

The recoil pad on the rifle is a Sims Vibration Labs Limbsaver. There are a lot of online dealers. I bought mine locally. The 'over the shoulder' recoil pad is a Past brand Mag Plus model that is reversible for righties or lefties. Also a lot of online dealers but I bought mine at a local shop.
I see both of these on e-Bay from time to time.
