Default Timney or Rifle Basix Trigger???

Which trigger is better? I know Timney is a good trigger but I don't know anything about the Rifle Basix trigger. They are both adjustible and Cabelas sells both.

Thanks for the information.

Depends on the gun. If you want a good hunting trigger the Shilen would be hard to beat on a Remington. For Savages the Rifle BAsix. For rugers anything but a timney after my experience with them although they are sweet after all the trouble

I have both Timmey and Bold (with side safty) triggers for Mauser rifles ,I like both .
Never had any problems with either.
I have never used a Rifle Basix trigger.

I just installed a Timney on my Savage 210. Outside of shortening the length of the trigger the installation was a snap. The trigger is very responsive and breaks cleanly.

I have a rifle basix on my savage and it is very easy to install. You may want to check, midway, or midsouthshooters supply or natchez, You'd most likely get a better price than cabelas.

Good info. I have a Ruger M77 Mark II rifle I want to upgrade the trigger on. I’ve been hesitant to try a Timney install myself and I don’t know of any skilled gunsmiths (skilled being the operative word) in my area, but if this Rifle Basix replacement trigger is decent and an easier do-it-yourself option, I may give it a try.

I need one too. Once the season is over Im gonna lighten the trigger on my ruger 06, although it is shooting pretty good. I thought that a gun smith could work the stock ruger trigger and avoid having to buy another? Thanks for any information.

I've never used a Basix so i really can't compare the two but i've installed several Timneys and they are good triggers.

I've done several timneys on mausers and have been completely satisfied. Easy to install and adjust, some times you have to modify the stock but usually not much. As has been said it depends on what it's going on and what you want it to do.
