Thats a short barrel alright. I had a 3 inch 44 mag for a while that I carried. The muzzle blast from that thing would stop everyone even close to it. When I shot combat matches and came to the line everyone would move back several extra steps. Even with two sets of ear protecters it was bad news.

Just recently bought a Savage 16 in 270 wsm...have'nt had a chance to really shoot the gun a lot but the accu trigger seems great. I think you will be impressed!
