NEF Handi-Rifle in .223, topped with a K10 Weaver. It's a shooter!

What ever gun i have in my hands when one comes along, is my coyote gun!!

I've shot them with 7x57 mauser, 7 Rem. mag, 8x57jrs, 338-06 imp., 240 wby, 243, i'm not eating them, so i don't care how big a hole i blow through one!!

I did build my 240 Wby. to be my "long range varminter" though. It's a LH Rem. 700 action with a 26" bbl. that P.O. Ackley made and installed for me. It shoots quite well, and "long ago" i managed to win a few "magnum class" bench rest shoots with it.

My Rem .308 700 VLS is topped with a 6-24 X 50 Burris Blackdiamond B-Plex. I get fist-sized groups at 500 yards.
Works great for coyotes with FMJ loads.

I use several different guns for coyotes, pretty much anything that I feel like using. I've got four dedicated varmint rifles, but I'll use any of the list below during any given year:

Bushmaster AR-15A4 Stainless target rifle .223 with a 6.5-20x42mm Nikon. (I've got two other AR's that I commonly use for coyotes)

Savage 12FVSS with skeletonized Dragnov target stock .22-250 wth a 6-24x42mm Leup.
Winchester Coyote in .223WSM with Laminated wood stock with 4-16x42mm Nikon
Remington 700PSS .308win with 6.5-20x42mm Nikon

Ruger Single Six .32H&R mag Stainless birdshead 4 5/8"

Savage combo gun .222 over 20ga with Williams receiver peep rear and globe frontsight

Marlin Mod 60 .22lr semiautomatic with 3-9x40mm Bushnell.

Ruger Mark II .22semiautomatic pistol

I also use basically any other gun I feel like...I've even used my CZ550 .416Rigby and a .45-70 Marlin 1895 Cowboy for coyotes.

An H&R Handi-Rifle .223 with a Leupold VX-1 Scope on top. Handloaded 45 grain Speed SPT @ about 3200 FPS. Have taken several jack-rabbits with this, but no coyotes to date. Also looking to replace the scope with a 42-50 mm objective when I get the money to do so.

Mine is a Rem. model 700 LVSF in .22-250, with a 4.5-14 Burris scope. It shoots 5 shot groups of .9 inch with factory ammo. Not bad for a 6.75lb rifle.
