I used my wifes 250-3000. Winchester slivertip 100 grain ammo. One shot took out both lungs. It walked about 20 yards and then dropped dead as a wedge. No horrific blast, no recoil no bruised shoulder and no ruined meat.

My only deer hunting for the year will be done this weekend. Since I don't have much time, and I may not be able to take the perfect shot, I will shoot my .270 Wby Mag with 150gr Nosler Partition bullets.

Will be either the Savage 10FP Tact. Sniper Rifle in .308 with ATN 6-28x65LU scope or the Howa M1500 in .308 with same scope.
One Shot, One Kill
Hunting is the one sport where, if you are playing right, the other team doesn't even know you're playing.

Since my season is over here what I used this fall for guns!
Rem 700 MLS Muzzleloader (tagged a mulie draw doe and whitetail doe in October)
Rem 700 BDL 7MM Rem Mag (tagged a 5x7 wt buck a week ago)
BOOOOOHOOOOO....i'm all done for the year. So I think I'll take both and my 270 Browning Abolt to the range to start honing for next year.
Good Luck to all.
