Well I went to the range today with my new NEF Handi Rifle 223 and Marlin lever 30-30.
I was inches from getting a Marlin 17 Mach 2 and now I am very happy I didn't. I ended up getting the 30-30 for less money and it is just plain fun to shoot. I have always wanted a lever action and now that I have one it is as fun as I thought it would be.
The Handi Rifle was such a nice surprise........what a great little gun!!! I had a blast with that thing. My first 223......what a great caliber......very fun to shoot.
I am going to put Bushnell Trophy scopes on both and they will be even more fun to shoot.
I am so impressed with the Handi Rifle that I will not hesitate to get another if I see a caliber that interests me.
The trigger on my 223 NEF was very smooth and light.......is that normal for a Handi Rifle?? Felt like nothing to pull.

The last several Handi rifle that I have picked up have had very good triggers. The 223 handi rifles are very accurate. Never heard of one that would not shoot 1/2 inch groups. I have a stainless 223 on layaway right now as well as the Buffalo Classic in 45-70. I have a 280, 44 Mag and 22 inch barreled Handi in 45-70. I have also had the 30-06, 30-30 and 243 Ultra. Have a ball with your new rifles.
