4 inch Taurus 357 Mag with plus P 38 special FBI loads. Second choice 1911 SA full size 45 auto. I won't carry any auto until it proved it can fire 500 rounds without a malfunction of any kind. Learned that while combat shooting. Not many will do it.

Glock Model 27, if and when I do carry, very easy to hide and since it's a subcompact it's rather light.

Get a SIG! They'll do it many times over.

Something I have learned with the self loading pistols I have had experience with, is that with the right factory ammo thats fairly clean burning or reloads with the right primers, powder and jacketed or plated bullets will do that.

My Kimber 1911 custom II did this between 2 days without cleaning My fisrt day out with it I fired 200 factory loads which were remington umc 230 gr MC and 50 rounds of American eagle 230 gr FMJ. I took that brass home reloaded it all with winchester large pistol primers, 4 gr of hodgdon clays and 200 gr berrys plated bullets and fired all of them, I had no jams or misfires the gun handled the abuse.

I know ruger P-90's and taurus PT-111's can handle a ton of rounds and fuction flawlessly between cleanings a gun range I worked at had a bunch of ruger P-90's and taurus PT-111's that were rentals these guns never got cleaned untill someone complained about them jamming lol these guns would literally have a 1000 rounds through them before they were cleaned. The taurus PT-111's are basically a PT-145 only chambered in 9mm instead of 45 acp with the thought of the PT-111's reliability I figure the PT-145 should be just as reliable.
I will soon find out over the next couple days my PT-145 will have 500 rounds through it with out being cleaned.

I carry a Para-Ordnance P-12. ammo is Pro-Load's 230 grain PLus P JHP. When not carryinga gun, I carry a Smith Model 36 J frame with bobbed hammer. Ammo is Pro-Load's 125 grain Plus P JHP. At times, I will carry Mrs. Charley's E German Makarov. I've installed a set of Novak sights on it, and it is a hell of a shooter. Both autos will easily make the 500 round mark with no malfunctions, they've done it more than once.

I really like the Ruger SP-101 .357 Mag with a 3" bbl. I prefer stainless carry guns, and I can tuck it away just about anywhere on me.

Another 1911 fan here. I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP in .45 loaded with plain old 230gr hard balls. It rides cocked and locked in a Galco slide and is very accurate for a pistol of its size.

I have about six Sigs. The 220 is my favorite. They will do it quite often. I have only had one that would do it every time and up to 1500 rounds. That was a rebuilt Spring Field 45 auto. 1911. Also I agree the Ruger 45 is about flawless. Between practice and matches I usually fired about 1500 rounds per week. I got burned out on relaoding and gave it up a few years ago.
