Actually Red, most of the people with thumbholes are cosmo type people. You know really stylish and all that has to have pretty things. All that said, I enjoy shooting them. I consider it on my 300RUM. Most bigbore rifles I see don't get them, cause alot of people says they are not as fast to get up on a shot.

They are usually much more expensive also. I wouldn't mind to have one. Alot of competition rifles have them also.
