I currently have two kids that are hunting. They both shoot my rifle I started with which is a Remington Model 788 in 243Win. I love this little rifle.
The problem comes in when both are going hunting...one with me and another with my dad. My 10 year old can handle my 7mm RUM enough to shoot 100 yards but I had a custom bullbarrel muzzle break put on and it doesn't kick much.
Before I looked on the Net and saw that Remington doesn't offer the .243Win in the Sendero SF like mine....that is really what I wanted.
Does anyone know who makes a .243 in ss and has a fluted bull barrel?
Also, can someone tell me if the new .243 WSSM is much different than the .243Win. I think there is only 60fps diff. at muzzel.

While it doesnt come with a fluted barrel, Remington's 40-XB KS is available in most any caliber including the 243 Win. They are all stainless (sans trigger group) and come with 27 1/4" barrels and can be had in single shots or repeater model. Though they are more exspensive than say a Sendero, they are put together better and use better componets.
This one is chambered in 300 Weatherby Mag and on a short single shot action.
