found out that the rem has half again as much powder asthe other 2
the rott is attached to the "wad" is that suposed to make it more accurate
and the wad on the win is all paper
just wondering about actual tests and info as to the better of the 3

just because the remington had half the powder as the other 2 doesnt mean anything..... I guarentee between the 3 loads not a one uses the same powder. different powders work differently and have different burn characteristics. for example if i reload 2 different loads of 38 special using the same case, bullet and primer but with different powders that have different charge weights but give me the same performance, with load number 1 if i use 3.9 grains of hodgdon clays powder which only fills about a 1/3 of the case I get 940 fps then with load number 2 I used 7 grains of alliant bluedot powder which fills about 3/4 of the case and got 945 fps. You see what im trying to explain? just because a powder charge visually looks like less doesnt mean it is less.

Last week I took a box of Win Super X, Federal Classic, Rottweil Brenneke, and Rem slugger 2.75" slugs out back and fired a three round group from each one. I fired at 1.5" dots colored on a 24 x24" cardboard with a marker from a measured 50 yds. for a rest I knelt in front of a saw horse, with no sand bag. I fired each group in rapid succession, but let the barrel cool between different ammo. My gun was a Mossberg 500 using a smoothbore barrel with rifle sights. My results were as follows:
Brenneke didn't group at all, but a flipped rear sight was the culprit on that one. the Win X made a 1.5" snowman +3" above POA and at 1 o'clock; 2" Remington Sluggers grouped at 1.88" above POA at 12 o'clock; and I got a 2.25" 3 shot group with Federal Classics that was 2.5" above POA at 12 o'clock.
this is for from scientific, but confirmed for me that any of the above amo can get the job done for me.
Incidently, when I fried my last brennke by itself it hit the target dot dead center. hopes this helps answer your question.
