G2 contender carbine.
I was over to Scheels all Sports in Fargo today. I picked up a G2 contender carbine in 45-70. I don't know much about the G2. I had an original Contender with a bunch of barrels and stocks several years ago. Any info on the difference in the G2 and the original contender.?Do the other contender barrels work on this one. The guy in the store was no expert on TC'S. Thanks

Yes the old barrels will work on the G2, but the G2 barrels will not work on the old contenders. I think the new G2 has a stronger frame. It also lets you re-cock it with out having to break open the action like you had to on the old ones.
