Savage has a few of these putting around, I belive. But in my opinion, don't waste your money on it. It's going to die in the next few years. It won't do anything a .22 mag will, except give you a very limited supply of bullets for the same price as the .22 Wmr. they are just pushing the whole .17 thing now.

I think it's a great idea. It's not to compete against the .22WMR it's to comepte against the .22LR which is stomps in the dust. Everyone said the .17HMR would die, yet it's everywhere now!

I saw cases of the .17HM2 today at my local gun store. Kimber, Savage, Marlin, CZ, T/C, etc.. are all making rifles and pistols for the .17HM2. I think it will be around for a long time.

Yep I have seen it. I have a 17hmr & soon will have a 17 mach2. It's about 200 fps. slower than the 17hmr.
