I own two 3.5 X 10 44Mag Simmons scopes on my two deer rifles and they have worked perfectly for years now. I have killed a lot of deer without any problems with these.

I've never owned a Simmons. A couple of friends have them and both had problems with the cross hairs.Don't know if it's a common problem but common enough for me not to buy one. Ruger Redhawk

here we go again...
I got a cheap ($55 or so at Wal mart) 3-9x40 simmons on my rifle. Got it cause I cant afford mucxh, and it SO FAR has been a good scope. But I believe the general consensus here will be to save your money for a better model. I am planning to set $$ back just in case I need to replace mine, but since I shot 1 inch groups with it out of a sporterized military 30-06 this weekend, factory ammo, rem 150gr core lokt, I plan to keep it till it breaks!

Just my uneducated opinion!

Save your money and buy a Burris or Leupold. The Burris are clear and there isn't a tougher scope on the market.
