jaybird, I can't speak for the model you have, but I can vouch for the Parker Hale rifles. My dad owned a Parker Hale rifle in 30-06 for years and never had a problem with it. I got him interested in the T/C Encore a couple years ago and he got hooked on them. But I honestly know that if not for that, he'd still be packing the PH.

jaybird, I have a parker-hale 1200 in 30-06, this is my 2nd parker and at has served
me well. I took two deer last year with the parker-hale and will hunt with it this year.
I was introducted to the parker-hale in Germany, in 1966 while in the Air Force. they
are made in Birmingham,England until 1991, when the company was bought out.
The rifles were built on a mauser bolt and came in three different models 1000, 1100,
and 1200, of which the 1200 was the top model. So I hope this helps a little.
