I've got a 1917 Enfield .30-06 made by Remington years ago that my great-grandfather sporterized back in the late '50s/early '60s. It's a fine rifle but is a bear to shoot as that military trigger feels like it's around 9 lbs. Is this trigger easliy adjustable by a gunsmith (or even myself)? Are there any aftermarket triggers that can be outfitted on this rifle? Thanks.

Nice rifle.
If memory serves me correctly (senility is a terrible thing) I think there is a Timney trigger out there. But I would check with a dealer... Cabela's lists a couple out there for the Enfield; don't know which matches which version, though.
