great gun fuctions flawlessly, But rusts like it nobodies business in the slightest moisture. You shooting slugs or buckshot? I would go with something either in a camo finish or parkerized both finishes protect against rust the best.

I have one in the camo. I bought it last year as a back up gun for my Benelli M1 Field for South Dakota pheasant. Needless to say I never had to use it. Benelli makes damn good products and the Nova is a steal for around $300. You can even put in a Benelli recoil reducer in the stock if you go symthetic. That would be nice for heavily loaded slugs and turkey loads. I would say the Nova is a toss up with the Browning BPS.

I have a blued 24" "NWTF" 12 guage Nova. Love it!! Have had zero rust problems and had never heard of that problem until now. I use Eezox on all my guns and have no problems with rust on any of them. After the last wet spring season it would have "surfaced"
.
Mine has been 100% reliable and I have used it for dove, skeet, waterfowl & turkey. Great gun!

Amen to the EEZOX and Benelli Nova. Best patterning, most reliable and great quality pump shotgun out there! I saw a study on gun protectants and EEZOX and Breakfree were the two best by far. If anyone wants I can post the link!

I got one. It's an alright gun. But if I had the choice, I'd pick my 870 over it any day. It feels like a toy to me. Probably because it's got a bunch of plastic to it, but it also doesn't feel as good in my hand as my 870.
A bunch of people love them. They just aren't really my type of shotgun.
