Default 300 browning win mag, boss

Hey USMC PMI. . .I notice you use or talk about your 300 win mag. I just found a nice browning a-bolt syn hunter with Boss at a pawn shop. It's real tempting. I hear the Boss is nice but hold your ears. You tear up the deer with that big round? The Texas white tail aren't real big out here. I think it would do nice things for the hogs artound hear and a nice gun to add to the safe.

How happy are you with this big round?

Thanks,

The boss lets you tune the rifle to any load you choose, I've seen it first hand, it works. they are loud, but reduce recoil CONSIDERABLY. They have a fitting that screws on and eliminates the effects of the brake(it'll kick again, but wont be as loud either). So wear ear plugs AND muffs at the range, then put the "cap" on and hunt. The 300 win mag is awsome, it will be enough for ANY north american game animal.

I shoot a .270 Browning with Boss. I love it. But you are right it is extremely loud... I don't notice it when I shoot it, but when others are around they are cringe, and when I am watching others shoot then they shoot with the Boss...it is very noticably a different sound and louder.

my brother inlaw shoots a 300 win mag with a boss and it has enough power to drop a bear at over 200 yards.
