Believe it or not, but the bull moose we got last year had a 22 bullet fully expanded in the neck area behind the head and just under the skin. Hard to believe but it was there......

340.....I once saw a program on 20/20 as I recall about this guy who just left society and moved to Alaska. He knew nothing about the wild etc...
He only brought with him a .22 rimfire, which as I recall was a .22Win mag....
ANYWAYS... He took a photo of himself carrying away a big piece of meat from a Moose he shot with that gun. Must have been a brain shot from what I figured.
After several months, he died and authorities found his body in an abandoned school bus which had been converted into a little hunter's base camp/cabin. The guy was keeping a diary of how he was basically starving to death and had no strengh getting out of his bed.
They discovered that he was eating some type of root or berry that basically stopped one's digestive process from working correctly, thus resulting in a person taking in food, but can't get any nutrition out of it. He died of starvation/poisoning.
-Just a little trivia.

Two muledeer bucks with one shot each from my 22-250 loaded with 55 gr. Sierras. One stumbled and dropped,(heart/lung shot) the other dropped in his tracks like the rug had been pulled out from under him.(neck shot)
