Default Ruger 10/22 or Thompson Center 22LR?

I'm thinking about getting either the Ruger 10/22 or the Thompson Center 22LR (It's the new model they just came out with).
I'm not crazy about the Ruger trigger. Has anybody tried the T/C trigger?
Which gun would you get? Why?
Thanks.

10/22 reliable and a lot of aftermarket options. The trigger can be changed.

I have to go with Down Wind on this one. The 10/22. You can make that little rifle into just about anything you want.

I'd go with the ruger 10/22. There is a a lot of aftermarket accessories for them. I recently spent about $750 on custom stuff for mine. Shots like a champ.

I use my 10/22 for my squirrel gun. I am not too crazy about it. But i have never modified it any. You can buy the trigger and sheer in cabelas I believe that is light for about 60 dollars. It is hard for me to put big money in a 22LR for squirrels. But I have been eyeing the green mountain fluted barrel and new stock. I beleive you can buy the actions separately and then trick it out.

I have a problem buying a product you have to spend more money on to get it to preform well. I've had several "stock" Rugers and they all had attrocious triggers and I've sold them all. The T/C is probably a higher quality rifle all around and it would be my pick if I was looking to buy a new .22.
