I have owned a glock 21 and 26. They are fine weapons. But my new love is the Springfield Armory XD line. I own four of them right now. A compact in 9mm, a four inch in 40 S&W, and two tactical 5 inchers. 357 sig and 45 GAP. They are all great guns. All very reliable. But the four inch and five inch models are a few ounces hevier than glocks. You might want to check them out.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Just like almost all Kabooms, this was due to a round that had too much powder and had a case failure. Just glad it wasn't me. I have some pics of a nice "N" frame S&W that had the same problem, blew off the top strap though and cut the cylandier in half. I usally save them and post them when people start talking about Glocks Kabooming

After carrying a Glock 19 for 12 years, I thought Glock had it together. After buying a Glock 27 a year ago, I KNOW they have it together. This pistol shoots economy ammo pretty good, but is fantastic with premium ammo. It's favorite is Rem. 165gr Golden Sabers. Another plus for the Glock is availability of accessories. Like an 870, if it's made for a pistol, it's made for a Glock.

Glock is a fine gun, but my vote also goes to the Springfield XD. Mine is performing flawlessly......accurate too. Read up on it a bit and try to get your hands on one if you can.

I have a Blade-Tech "UCH" inside waistband holster for it for carry and an M3 Tac light for home use.

Love this gun.

Default glock27

www.lonewolfdist.com and glockmeister.com have all sorts of parts to customize the glocks... i own a model 35 in the 40 sw.. for 60 dollars i got night sights installed... for $162.00 i got a 3.5lbs trigger, everything extended and a tungsten guide rod with a 17# spring... the sky is the limit with glock.

of the 3 id go with the glock......dads big into pistols and thats what he would say too....i shot someones smith once and it wasnt bad...and alot cheaper then the sigs, glocks brownings, kimbers, h&ks, and other top handguns i shot...but it still didnt compare.....and dad will never own a taurus.......he said hes disowning me if i ever try to buy one......he said when hes at the range with his buddys that have them they cant even get them to fire or feed properly.....if im buying a pistol its probably going to be a lifesaver if i need it......and i dont want junk to save my life....i want something reliable and something i enjoy shooting
