A few more questions.
1. Will the ADL Rem be as accurate as a BDL, since the BDL is more expensive (and one would assume better quality)? I have owned several BDLs, but not the ADL version.
2. I have a M70 Classic Stainless, and it groups very well (1 MOA). How do the new Super Shadows group (from personal experience please)?
3. The factory stock on the Vanguard is a Butler Creek (kind of a softer molded plastic). Any problems with this?
Appreciate any responses, Thanks.

NoMercy, you should go to www.weatherby.com and read the policy Weatherby has for their guns. The Guarantee is that the gun will shoot 1 1/2 inch groups out of the box, any time, any place. IF you feel the gun is shooting 1 5/8 inch groups send it back.... free of charge.
I own several Weatherby rifles, from the Vanguard to the Lazermark. One of my Lazermarks had fired about 3000 rounds and started throwing the bullets just a tad. Sent it back to Weatherby expecting to have to buy a new barrel. To my surprise they put a new barrel on it FREE OF CHARGE. Now THAT is customer support!!!
You can bet, I buy nothing but Weatherbys..

Best tip from an old head.
I dont care who you are, what range your shooting, who the gun is made by, NO ONE can guarantee a shooting group, every single shot depends on the shooting skill of the shooter.
Everything else is bs.

The barreled action in the Rem. 700's are of the same quality. They are both made in the same place and of the same materials.
Some believe the ADL has the advantage of a "stiffer" stock, but in reality both should shoot equally well.
Remington 700's have always been good rifles for me, but i haven't bought a current production one to know if that has changed any?
One thing i always liked about 700's over all the others is, "if" it doesn't shoot it's best, it's the easiest to "bed" and get shooting really well! The round bottom reveiver is very easy to bed into a stock properly.
