Thanks guys I went to Dicks Sporting goods and purchased the Leupold mount and rings and a box of Remington Core-Lokts as far as the scope my wife just got it for me so I will probably use it this season and get the Leupold during the winter. Thanks much appreciated.

I have a Simmons scope myself...not at all impressed with it. In fact its laying on top of the gun cabinet by itself. Its a 44 Mag...looked good when I bought it but that was about the end of it...lol. I used it on a 30-06 and it took forever to get it dialed in and the zero seemed to change regularly.

I have had no problem with core-lokts. Every rifle I have had has shot them just fine. they are great for deer sized animals. Anything larger tho, and I would look into a different bullet.
