I've never owned a Ruger so I'm going by hear say.I'm sure you believe that too?
I agree the Winchester M-70's are nice. If I was looking for a economy rifle ,the Savage would be my choice. Another fine rifle is the Tikka " Whitetail Hunter".There are allot of good rifles to choose from but the Rem 710 isn't one of them.

Couldn't agree more! Most people who have been shooting for awhile just can't imagine why Remington released this hunk of junk.
