Maybe the muzzel velocity might match your 7 mag but remember if they are shooting non magnums at magnum speeds they can shoot magnums at magnum+ speeds. Also a 168 gr 30 is not as ayrodynamic as a 165 gr 284 cal. The 7 rem mag beats a 30-06 all the way around especialy out at 300yds.

I tried them in 3 different 308's and never good get them to shoot less than 2" groups at 100 yards. All three of these guns regularly get MOA accuracy or better. I won't waste my money on these light magnums. I took one apart, and they really compress these loads. I had to dig the powder out. Rarely is the fastest load the most accurate for me.

I have also had bad luck with the 308 Win light mags. My Tikka shoots
1-2 MOA with almost everything, but it shoots 6" groups with the light mags. The extra juice only helps if your rifle will shoot it well.
