I've always thought it would be nice to have a 257 Roberts, but I am having a hard time finding gun companies who offer this caliber in their line ups. Does anyone have an idea of where I could look? Thanks.

Hi Rangerlab,
Ruger has four models of .257 Roberts currently cataloged. Three bolt actions and one model of the Ruger No 1. Check the site below:

Hope this helps!

P.S. Rangerlab.......I checked the site above after it posted. It takes you to Ruger's website.....but with nothing listed. (I tried several times...to no avail.) When you get to the above link...click on search by features. On the drop down menu for gauge/caliber....select .257 Roberts and hit search. Three models of bolt-actions.....and one model Single Shot will come up! Hope this helps!

Ruger is the only manufacturer that catalogs the rifle. I have a Remington 700 Classic Stainless that was made on a special run for a large Remington distributor. If you spend a little time a some gun shows I'm sure you will find one. Just a few years ago the Winchester Model 70 Featherweight was chambered for the Roberts. I have seen quite a few of these at gun shows. I had one of these in 6MM Rem. It was a nice accurate rifle. Should not have sold it. I you handload you have a plethora of choices. If you don't try the Hornady Light Magnum ammo or the Federal Premium 120 gr. Nosler Partition. The light mag's almost equal standard 25-06 velocities and it's available with the 117 gr. SST this year. Good luck and let us know if you find a Robert's.

Thanks for the help fellas, and for not jumping all over me for accidentally typing 275 instead of 257. I love this place, it's great to have a question and be able to have it answered right away. Thanks again!

I picked up a 257 bob last year, it is a synthetic ADL, must have been a limited run. The only thing I don't like is the blind magazine. Here's an idea get a savage 110 and pick up the 257 bob switch barrel from Midway. All you'll really need is the gun, barrel, barrel nut wrench and headspace gauges. That way you can use either cartridge, then again after spending all that money, just buy the Ruger.
