Maybe its the day the gun was made. I know in the past ruger had some problems with triggers. But I haven't picked up one in the last 7 years that had a bit of creep or had a really hard pull. Actually its what I like about ruger triggers you start to come off the sear the minute you start squeezing the tigger. Non of that slack like the military triggers have.

You can get a set of sear springs from Trapper Gun INC.sometimes depending on what weight you want, these may work.I tried these in several MK11 but didn't get down as much as I wanted and had to do more than changing springs,so I would suggest taking it to a gun smith to start with.
If you decide to do what you think is needed and you are not a gunsmith be very carefull because I don't think ruger will sell trigger parts to someone who isn't a guns smith.

If he is a competent gunsmith get it done. I had the same trouble with my 77 MK II 300 win mag. It had alot of creep and I was going to buy an adjustable trigger for it. The owner of the gunshop where I had been doing most of my shopping is also a gunsmith and he showed me a 7mm mag ruger that he just did a trigger job on. I had my 300 there the next day and he did the trigger work on it. This gun shot good to begin with but I didn't like the creep. Now it shoots fantastic. My opinion GET IT DONE.
